Busy week, photographically speaking
After a wonderful vacation with friends and family I had a lot of photo developing to do. I carried my camera with me practically everwhere in Disneyland. Of course the camera got really heavy after walking around for a few days. Before I could finish editing vacation photos, I had more events to cover. The first was my daughter’s graduation from preschool.

Of course my daughter was beaming and very excited to graduate.
I was also asked to take corporate headshots for a training DVD. They requested the headshot with a white background. The participants were surprised when I setup all of my lighting gear to properly light them. In these photos I used a strobe behind the subject to light the white wall, a strobe positioned at camera left with umbrella, and a reflector positioned at camera right to fill in the shadows.

And finally there was a grass fire at work that I photographed. There was a huge response from the fire department which gave me a good opportunity to photograph fire fighters in action. Apparently there have been 12 fires lit in Tracy in the last few days and the fire department has been extremely busy going from fire to fire.
