The Tracy Camera Club meeting and competition took place tonight. The meeting went very well. We had a met a few new people who considered joining the club, and saw an amazing set of images coming from the members.
I started off the meeting with a short presentation on image distortion software PTLens. This software corrects many problems that can occur with lenses, but I focused my talk on the ability to adjust perspective.
After the talk we had the photo judging competition. The subject of the month was water. I had seen many photographs of water drops and decided that would be my entry for the month. I devised a plan for shooting and came up with some really great photos. In fact I shot over 1000 photos (many just rapid fire) and had to narrow the list to just 3. The selection process proved difficult, so I asked my Facebook friends to lend a hand. I had a great turnout for the vote, and the results included some of my personal favorites too.

Water turned out to be a very popular category and there was some great competition for the photo of the month. I won’t find out who got the photo of the month until the scores are tabulated.
