2009-08-17 Recent Activity

I seem to be taking a lot of pictures recently. Both of my daughters are on separate soccer teams so I’m working on getting my timing down for good soccer shots when the games start. After reviewing many of the photos from practice, timing the shot is critical. If I shoot too early, there is little action, too late and the ball is gone. Certainly something I’ll be practicing.

I also had the opportunity to photograph a dance recital at the Grand Theater in Tracy. There were many separate classes and each had a unique style of dance.

Some of the younger children were frightened by being put on a dark stage, with the stage lights on, and an entire audience laughing and clapping.

Other children seemed perfectly at home on stage and seemed to love the audience attention.
 

Finally, I had the opportunity to photograph family portraits for a lovely family at their home.
