Fantastic Rainy Saturday

I had a fantastic Saturday last week. I started off the day doing family shots for an old friend in Livermore. They booked Ravenwood Historic Site which I had never seen before, but I will definately book again! The location was great and had a very nice gazebo, old house, vineyard, and shaded areas. Unfortunately, the weather took a turn for the worse and started raining. Rain is not very typical for a California summer, but we made due. I took advantage of the cloudy skies and shot with a speedlight to brighten things up a bit. I enjoyed seeing my friends again and photographing the family.

After shooting in Livermore I drove back to Tracy to catch my daughter’s soccer game. This was the first game I’ve seen for the Tracy youth soccer. The many games of soccer going on were quite impressive to see. A few minutes after I sat down to enjoy the game it started raining. The sun was shining and the clouds were moving pretty quickly, so we just sat their waiting out the rain. I ended up getting pretty wet but luckly I still had my camera in the camera bag.

Finally I headed back out to Pleasanton to shoot some one-year-old photographs of a cute little boy who had just learned to walk. We met at a park to keep things comfortable for the toddler and provide a nice setting for the photographs. I shot this set almost exclusively with natural lighting becuase I didn’t have time to setup a light with him moving all over the place.

Have a great week!
